MPhil Communication Studies (Research Track)
Program Structure
The MPhil Communication Studies (Research Track) program is designed to empower the students with a comprehensive understanding of media and communication research necessary for studying and analyzing the process of communication; taking into account the production and consumption ends, and effects of media effects in cultural, economic and political context. The courses are planned in a manner, which would strengthen the critical evaluation abilities of the scholars, equipping them with the tools and techniques of development of research projects, data collection, data management, statistical analysis, data interpretation and presentation. It would also provide them the understanding of philosophy of social science to verify or develop communication theories while doing research projects, utilizing different paradigms and approaches.

Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must have completed minimum 16 years of education (130 Credit Hours) in the Media Studies subject with at least 45% marks. The applicant must have acquired the requisite academic qualification on or before the admission closing date.

Degree Completion Requirements
For awarding of MPhil Communication Studies (Research Track) degree, a candidate will first have to complete 24 Credit Hours of course work, and then, he/she has to submit a 6 Credit Hour Thesis Project.
